Project
All projectsPetskun Kauppa 3D printing shop
A 3D-printing ecommerce business combining digital manufacturing, custom production and practical product testing for consumers and B2B customers.
Petskun Kauppa is more than a shop. It is a small, working example of how digital tools, product instincts and manufacturing workflows can come together in a lean business.
Why it fits this site
From the outside, it is an ecommerce business selling 3D-printed products. From a product perspective, it is more interesting:
- ideas can move quickly from concept to digital model to printed product
- ecommerce, content, merchandising and fulfilment have to work together
- customer demand feeds back into design and production decisions
That combination makes it a useful example of innovation without the conference-room fog machine.
Consumer and B2B angle
The shop serves consumers, but it also has a B2B side. That makes it relevant not only as a maker-driven ecommerce project, but as a flexible production and customisation capability.
It has also supplied items for MTV3 television productions. That gives the project a concrete commercial angle beyond the standard catalogue.
A good case study direction later
This project can later be expanded with more detail on:
- store and catalogue management
- the design-to-print workflow
- custom request scoping and delivery
- lessons from combining physical products with digital channels
- the split between consumer products and tailored B2B work
